About inventory lite on VyaparKit
Stock quietly moves with every invoice, challan, purchase bill and goods receipt you create in VyaparKit. These tools read that running quantity and turn it into the sheets and numbers people actually ask for: what is running low, what to reorder, and what the godown is worth.
The reorder calculator is public and works with any numbers. The other tools need a free login because they read your saved items; Free accounts get 3 inventory sheets a month.
Inventory Lite: common questions
- How is stock quantity tracked?
- Each saved product has a stock quantity. Invoices and delivery challans reduce it, purchase bills and goods receipt notes add to it, and credit notes reverse a sale. You can also adjust it manually after a physical count.
- Should I value stock at cost or selling price?
- For accounts, tax and bank stock statements, use cost (or lower of cost and net realisable value). Selling-price valuation is useful for insurance cover and for understanding potential revenue. The tool shows both.
- What is a reorder point?
- The stock level at which you should place a new order so it arrives before you run out: average daily demand times lead time in days, plus a safety stock. Economic order quantity then tells you how much to order each time.
