About the split pdf tool
A split is needed whenever one PDF holds more than one thing. A bank statement export covers twelve months but the loan officer wants only April to June. A scanned bundle from the CA has the GST certificate on page 2 and the PAN on page 7. A 40-page tender document must be uploaded section by section because the portal caps each attachment. Split PDF lets you pull out exactly the pages you need or cut a long file into evenly sized pieces.
Without a tool, people print the pages they need to a new PDF one at a time, or forward the whole file and ask the recipient to look at page 7. Both waste time and, in the case of KYC or bank documents, share more than necessary. Limits and formats
- Ranges use commas and hyphens: 1-3, 5, 8-10. Spaces are ignored and pages are numbered from 1.
- Extract pages keeps the pages in their original order regardless of the order you typed them.
- Every N pages and Each page output a zip file; unzip it on your phone or laptop before uploading the parts anywhere.
- Input files up to 10 MB or 50 pages on Free, 100 MB or 1000 pages on Pro; one split counts as one of your 10 monthly Free operations.
- Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first with Remove PDF Password.
- Bookmarks and form fields are not carried into the split parts; page content, fonts and images are.

Split PDF: frequently asked questions
- How do I extract just one page from a PDF?
- Choose Extract pages, click that page's thumbnail or type its number in the Pages field, then click Split PDF. You get a new PDF containing only that page. Extracting counts as one PDF operation.
- What does 'Every N pages' do?
- It cuts the PDF into consecutive chunks of N pages each. A 30-page file with N set to 10 becomes three files of 10 pages, delivered together in a zip. The last part may be shorter if the total does not divide evenly.
- Can I split a bank statement and then convert it to Excel?
- Yes. Extract the months you need with Split PDF, download the result, then open Bank Statement to Excel and upload that smaller file. Free accounts can convert up to 10 pages per statement, so splitting first often keeps you within the limit.
- Why does the download come as a zip file?
- When a split produces more than one PDF, the parts are packed into a single zip so you download once. Extract pages mode always returns a single PDF, so no zip is involved there.
- Does splitting change the page size or quality?
- No. Pages are copied into the new file exactly as they were, with the same dimensions, fonts and image resolution. A page from a scanned A4 statement stays a scanned A4 page.
- Is the split PDF stored on VyaparKit?
- No. The upload, the thumbnails and the split output are handled in server memory for the few seconds the operation takes, then discarded. We never write your documents to storage, which is why you need to download the result before starting over.
