In short

A business QR code is a vCard-format code that stores your business name, GSTIN, phone, UPI ID, email, website and address so a customer or vendor can save your firm as a contact with one scan. The tool encodes the GSTIN and UPI ID in the contact's note field, generates the QR in your browser and downloads it as PNG or SVG for invoices, shop boards and letterheads.

Fill in the details to generate your QR code.

Where to use it?

On your invoice letterhead, shop board or visiting card so customers can save your details and pay you in one scan.

About the business / gst qr code tool

A business QR code is the company version of a contact card. Where a personal vCard carries a name and mobile, the business QR carries the trade name, GSTIN, phone, UPI ID, email, website and address, so a buyer's accountant can save your details and later find your GSTIN when filing their purchase entries. Traders, distributors, manufacturers and service firms print it on invoices, purchase orders, letterheads and the shop board.

Vendors and customers ask for your GSTIN and bank or UPI details repeatedly, and each time someone types them there is a chance of a wrong digit that stalls an input-tax claim or a payment. Sharing screenshots on WhatsApp is not much better. This tool packs everything into one standards-based vCard: the name, phone, email, web and address land in the proper contact fields, while GSTIN and UPI go into the note so they stay visible in the saved contact. Download a PNG or SVG once and reuse it everywhere.

Set your GSTIN, UPI ID and address in the VyaparKit business profile and they flow onto every invoice, quotation and letterhead; this QR gives the same details to people who only see your printed material.

How to generate a business QR code with GSTIN

  1. 1

    Enter the business name

Type your trade name in Business name as it appears on your GST registration. The preview appears once a name is entered.

  2. 2

    Add GSTIN and UPI ID

Enter the 15-character GSTIN (converted to upper case automatically) and your UPI ID. Both are stored in the contact's note so they show when the contact is opened.

  3. 3

    Add contact channels

Fill in Phone, Email and Website so the saved contact is complete. Use the office number and the email you actually monitor.

  4. 4

    Add the address

Enter the registered or shop address in Address on one line, with pincode, so visitors and courier partners can navigate to you.

  5. 5

    Scan, then download

Scan the preview with your phone to check the contact card, then click PNG or SVG. Copy data gives the raw vCard for use in other tools.

What the business QR encodes

  • FN and ORG: the business trade name, so the contact saves under the firm name
  • TEL;TYPE=WORK: office or shop phone
  • EMAIL and URL: business email and website
  • ADR;TYPE=WORK: full address with city, state and 6-digit pincode
  • NOTE: GSTIN and UPI ID, for example GSTIN 27AAAAA0000A1Z5 | UPI shop@okaxis
  • GSTIN format: 2-digit state code, 10-character PAN, entity number, Z, check digit; verify it with the GSTIN checker first
  • The UPI ID is stored as text, not as a payment link; use the UPI QR Generator for a scan-to-pay code
  • Vendors can copy the GSTIN from the saved contact when entering your invoices in their books

Who uses the business / gst qr code

Wholesale distributors

Print the QR on invoices and price lists so retailers save your firm with GSTIN and UPI in one go, reducing calls asking for details during GSTR filing.

Manufacturers and job workers

Add the QR to the factory gate board and delivery challans so transporters and buyers have the address, phone and GSTIN handy at dispatch.

Service agencies and IT firms

Include the QR on proposals and letterheads. Clients' finance teams save the vendor record with GSTIN before raising a purchase order.

Shops registered under GST

A board-mounted business QR next to the UPI QR lets B2B buyers who need a tax invoice capture your details without asking the counter staff.

Business / GST QR Code: frequently asked questions

Can a customer pay me by scanning the business QR code?
No. The business QR is a contact card; the UPI ID is stored as text in the note so it can be copied, but it is not a upi:// payment link. For scan-to-pay, generate a separate UPI QR and print both side by side, or use the UPI QR that VyaparKit prints on invoices.
Is a GSTIN QR code required on invoices under GST?
Only for businesses covered by e-invoicing (turnover above ₹5 crore for B2B), where the signed QR comes from the Invoice Registration Portal, not from a generator. For everyone else, a business QR on the invoice is optional and just makes it easier for buyers to capture your GSTIN and contact details.
Should I include the GSTIN in a QR code that anyone can scan?
A GSTIN is public information; it must be printed on your invoices, signboard and GST certificate displayed at the premises, and anyone can look it up on the GST portal. Including it in the QR does not create a privacy risk. Avoid adding bank account numbers or passwords.
How do I know the GSTIN I typed is valid?
Run it through the VyaparKit GSTIN checker, which validates the 15-character format, the embedded PAN and the check digit, and decodes the state from the first two digits. The QR tool upper-cases the entry but does not validate it, so check it first.
What is the difference between the contact QR and the business QR?
The contact QR is built for a person: first and last name, job title and mobile. The business QR is built for a firm: trade name, GSTIN, UPI ID, office phone and address. Both produce vCard 3.0 codes that save as a contact when scanned.
