About invoices on VyaparKit
An invoice is the document that turns work into money, and in India it also carries your GST obligations. The six tools in this category cover every invoice a small business sends: the everyday GST invoice, the strict Rule 46 tax invoice, a bill of supply for unregistered or composition businesses, proforma invoices before delivery, service invoices with SAC codes, and commercial invoices for export shipments.
All of them share the same engine. Numbering follows the financial year (INV/26-27/0042), tax splits itself by place of supply, HSN or SAC codes come from your saved items, and the total is written out in words. Free accounts get 5 invoices a month with a small VyaparKit line on the PDF; Pro removes the line and the limit.
Invoices: common questions
- Which invoice should I use if I am not registered under GST?
- Use the Non-GST Invoice, which is a bill of supply. It has no tax lines and clearly states that GST is not charged. Registered composition dealers also issue a bill of supply rather than a tax invoice.
- Does VyaparKit generate e-invoices with an IRN?
- No. E-invoicing applies to businesses with turnover above ₹5 crore and needs a registered IRP. VyaparKit produces the invoice PDF and data; if you cross the threshold, generate the IRN on the portal or through your GSP.
- Can customers pay directly from the invoice?
- Yes. Every invoice gets a public share page with a Pay-via-UPI button and a QR code carrying the exact amount. When the payment arrives, record a Payment Receipt and the invoice is marked paid.
