Do I need to register with GS1 India to print barcodes?
Only if your products will be scanned at other retailers, which requires a globally unique EAN-13 prefix from GS1 India. For your own shop or warehouse, generate Code 128 or internal EAN codes freely.
What must a product label show under Legal Metrology rules?
For pre-packaged goods: name of the commodity, net quantity, MRP inclusive of all taxes, manufacturer or packer name and address, month and year of packing, and consumer care details. The Product Labels tool has fields for each.
Which A4 label sheets are supported?
Common grids such as 2×7, 3×8, 3×10 and 4×10 are built in, matching widely sold A4 sticker sheets. The PDF is sized for 100% scale printing without margins.
