About business calculators on VyaparKit
Pricing a product, taking a loan for a machine, or deciding whether a 10% plus 5% discount is worth it all come down to a formula that is easy to get wrong on a phone calculator. Each tool here shows the formula, the result and a breakdown, in rupees with Indian comma grouping.
Results can be copied or shared, and the numbers flow naturally into VyaparKit documents: a markup calculation becomes the rate on a quotation, an EMI schedule becomes a line in your monthly expenses.
Business Calculators: common questions
- What is the difference between margin and markup?
- Margin is profit divided by selling price; markup is profit divided by cost. A product bought at ₹100 and sold at ₹125 has a 25% markup but a 20% margin. Retailers usually talk margin, wholesalers markup.
- How is the EMI formula calculated?
- EMI = P × r × (1 + r)^n ÷ ((1 + r)^n − 1), where P is the principal, r the monthly rate (annual ÷ 12 ÷ 100) and n the number of months. The calculator also shows how much of each instalment is interest.
- Are these calculators free to use?
- Yes, all calculators, lookups and QR generators on VyaparKit are free and do not need an account. Only document generators and PDF tools need a free login.
