GST calculators and lookups
These free GST tools answer the everyday questions of Indian businesses: how much GST to add, what the base amount is inside an inclusive price, whether a sale attracts CGST plus SGST or IGST, which HSN or SAC code and rate applies, and whether a GSTIN is valid. No login is needed.

Calculators and lookups need no account. Document and PDF tools need a free login and include monthly free limits, for example 5 invoices a month. Pro is from ₹350 a month, paid once as a pass.

About gst tools on VyaparKit
GST has four main rates, two ways of splitting them and a code for every product and service. Getting any of these wrong on an invoice means a mismatch in GSTR-1, an argument with the customer's accountant, or input credit that gets blocked. These calculators exist so you can check in seconds instead of guessing.
They work without an account and the results copy straight into an invoice. When you do sign in, the same logic runs inside every VyaparKit document, so the split you see here is the split your customers see on the PDF.
GST Tools: common questions
- How do I know whether to charge IGST or CGST plus SGST?
- Compare your state with the place of supply. Same state means intra-state, so CGST and SGST at half the rate each. Different state means inter-state, so IGST at the full rate. Union territories use UTGST in place of SGST.
- Does the GSTIN checker confirm that a business is active?
- It validates the format, the state code and the checksum digit, which catches most typing errors. It does not query the GST portal for live status; use the portal's search taxpayer feature for that.
- How many HSN digits must I print on invoices?
- Four digits if your turnover is up to ₹5 crore (for B2B invoices), six digits above ₹5 crore. Exports always need eight digits. The HSN lookup shows codes at the level you need.
