Is a UPI QR code from this tool the same as the one my bank gives?

Functionally yes. Both encode a upi://pay link that any UPI app understands. A bank-issued QR usually points to a merchant VPA registered as P2M, which is treated as a business payment. If you use a personal VPA, payments are person-to-person and may hit the daily UPI limits set by your bank.

What is the difference between a static and a dynamic UPI QR?

A static QR has no amount, so the customer types it; you print it once and use it forever. A dynamic QR includes a fixed amount and usually a note, so it is generated per bill. VyaparKit gives you both: leave the amount blank for static, or enter it for a dynamic code.

Do I pay any charges when customers pay by UPI QR?

For most small merchants there is no MDR on UPI person-to-merchant payments under the current zero-MDR policy for UPI and RuPay debit. Your bank may charge for value-added services like soundbox devices. Check with your bank or payment app for their current terms.

Can customers with GPay pay a QR generated for a PhonePe UPI ID?

Yes. UPI is interoperable, so a QR built for any VPA works in GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, Amazon Pay and bank apps. The app used to scan does not need to match the app where the UPI ID was created.

How large should I print a UPI QR for a shop counter?

Around 5 to 8 cm square is comfortable for a counter, and 20 cm or more for a wall or shutter. Use the SVG download for large prints so the edges stay sharp, and keep a white border around the code.

Can I add my shop logo in the middle of the QR?

Yes, on the Pro plan. The QR is generated with medium error correction, which tolerates a small logo in the centre. Keep the logo under roughly a fifth of the code's width so scanners still read it reliably.

About the upi qr code generator tool

A UPI QR code turns your UPI ID into a payment sticker. When a customer scans it with GPay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM or any bank UPI app, the payee details fill in automatically and the customer only confirms the amount and enters a PIN. Shops, clinics, tuition centres, delivery riders and freelancers all use them because UPI has no card machine rental and, for most merchants, no MDR on person-to-merchant payments. How to generate a UPI QR code

Enter your UPI ID
Type your VPA in the UPI ID field, for example shop@okaxis or 98765xxxxx@ybl. Copy it from your GPay, PhonePe or Paytm profile to avoid typos. The preview appears as soon as the ID looks valid.

Fill in Business / payee name. This is what the customer sees on the payment screen, so use the name they know your shop by.

Leave Fixed amount blank for a static QR that accepts any amount, or enter a value like 250 to lock the payment amount. Add an optional Note such as Table 4 or Order # to identify the payment in your statement.

am: a fixed amount in rupees; omit it to let the payer type any amount (static QR)
tn: a transaction note up to 50 characters, useful for table numbers or order references
cu: currency, always INR for UPI
Error correction level M, so roughly 15% of the code can be smudged and still scan
